The skills and tasks below are examples of learning direction; level definitions are still being finalised. They are not a formal assessment, certification or HSK equivalent.

through a real conversation.

A roadmap cannot replace knowing you. Your learning history and current needs together show what to practise.

  1. 01

Share your background: what you have studied, where you use Chinese and what still feels difficult.

  2. 02

Choose a task: introduce yourself, describe an experience or explain a work arrangement.

  3. 03

Plan next steps together: decide what to practise first and how to review, based on feedback.

Questions about levels.

Can I work out my own stage?

You can use the examples to reflect on your learning, but they are not a formal test. Reading, listening and speaking may be at different levels, so bring specific tasks and challenges to your consultation.

How long does it take to move up a stage?

Progress depends on your level, study frequency, practice and goals. There is no fixed timeframe, and we do not promise a stage after a set number of lessons.

Are these levels the same as HSK levels?

No. N0–N6 is an internal roadmap in development with no confirmed HSK equivalence. For exam preparation, see our HSK course page.
