Click 'Book a trial lesson' to open the Niukool learning system. Fill in your learning needs, log in or sign up, then choose an available teacher and time. Your teacher, date and time will appear in your confirmation and under 'My bookings' in the student centre.

All levels, from complete beginner to advanced. Adult courses include Everyday, Spoken, Business, HSK prep, Professional Chinese and Cantonese; kids courses are chosen by age, level and Chinese environment. See Chinese levels for the learning path, or try the HSK self-test.

See each teacher's profile for their focus, languages and background. If you have specific requirements about native language, teaching language or teachers, mention them when booking and our team will confirm.

Adult formats include online 1-on-1, online small group, and in-person intensive, part-time and 1-on-1 classes in Hangzhou and Shanghai. Online small groups have 2–4 students, with a minimum of 2. To switch, contact us about your current course, progress and availability.

Use the contact page to tell us your current schedule and preferred new time. Rescheduling depends on the plan confirmed before purchase.

Please ask about cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms before you buy. There is no general refund promise here; terms follow your confirmed plan and policy.

Start with our adult Everyday Chinese course to see what basic communication involves. When booking, tell us your level and where you want to use Chinese, and we will find the right starting point.

Yes. Book from a teacher's profile and the system will carry over the course and your preferred teacher. You then choose from available teachers and times; selecting a preferred teacher does not book them automatically.

Not yet. After the questionnaire, log in or sign up, choose a teacher and time, and complete the booking. Once you see a confirmation with a booking number, teacher and time, it appears under 'My bookings'. If an error appears, follow the prompt to try again.

Select your time zone on the booking page, then choose from the dates and times shown. Check the time zone and lesson time in your confirmation, especially when travelling.

Filter by topic, type and access on the Learning resources page, then open the item. Previews and files show a link; items marked 'File coming soon' cannot be downloaded yet.

Some materials are available by email. Follow the steps on the item page; access depends on the item's settings and file availability.

On the Contact page, choose 'Learning support' and tell us the item name, page link and the problem.

Ask about course, format, number of lessons, pricing and policies before buying. This FAQ does not list standard prices.
